AI semi-finalist for SXSW London Venture Spotlight

We are chuffed to announce that Literal Labs has been selected as one of twenty semi-finalists — whittled down from hundreds of hopeful entrants — for SXSW London's maiden Venture Spotlight programme, 2–7 June 2025. This places us amidst the world’s most promising university affiliated deep-tech start-ups, all vying for the judges’ favour.

Our moment upon the stage arrives on 3 June, at the Truman Brewery stage in East London, where CEO Noel Hurley will deliver a pitch to an audience of venture capitalists, angels, assorted media, and broader SXSW attendees.

Whilst our competitors extol ever-larger neural networks — labouring under the misapprehension that compute is cost and impact free — Literal Labs shall champion a contrarian thesis: logic-based artificial intelligence that consumes less energy, requires modest hardware, and furnishes transparent, auditable decisions. In short, we’re setting out to prove that less wattage need not mean less capabilities.

We look forward to forging new connexions, sharing our vision for sustainable edge AI, and demonstrating that British ingenuity continues to carry weight upon the global stage.
