Literal Labs wins AI Research & Innovation prize

The Global AI Excellence Awards named its winners this week at the Global AI Summit in Berlin, with Literal Labs winning the AI Research & Innovation category for our unique and groundbreaking Logic-Based Networks (LBNs).

Today’s AI algorithms are the bottleneck to great AI, and they’re the reason the world is being asked to invest trillions of dollars in infrastructure. LBNs deliver over 50x faster inference while using 50x less energy than neural networks, while running efficiently and sustainably on standard MCUs and CPUs, bypassing the need for GPUs and other accelerators.

To fulfil its potential, artificial intelligence must run at the edge, wherever it is needed, and not be dependent on cloud connectivity and data centres. That is the mission at the heart of the company; fast, efficient, and explainable AI.

The category was open to all organisations pioneering AI research, technological innovation, and transformative advancements, and recognised those developing novel AI models, methodologies and fundamental research that push the boundaries of AI capabilities. We’re always proud to be recognised for our work shaping the future of AI, and thank the judges for this honour.
